General Discussion / 2014 V7 Won't turn over after washing
« Last post by tpeskey on May 28, 2020, 08:38:25 AM »
Hi. I recently bought a 2014 V7 with 1000 miles that is great shape stored indoors of course and ran great when I bought it. I brought it home, pressure washed and detailed it and now it won't attempt to turn over. No solenoid clicking, no cranking, nothing. But All controls light up, I can hear the fuel pump come on, and evcerything else seems working properly. Just when I press the start button, nothing at all happens. I checked fuses, No issues. I really dont know where to start. I left it in the sun 2 days in a row hoping something may dry out. Its been over a week and ahlf since I washed it. Please help
Note: Ive had many bike and fairly inclined mechanically. I checked neutral, shifted gears, pulled clutch, charged battery, played with kick stand and switches multiple times...
Thank you in advance

1993 quota has a clicking sound when turning the rear wheel in both directions. Itís hard to tell by sound alone if itís at the front or back of the driveshaft. No leaks in final drive. I canít find a replacement coupling. Any help much appreciated.

V7 / Re: Your experience on the new V7 Classic

I agree, the litre or over litre bikes are becoming more powerful, faster, and more complicated than a motorcycle needs to be.  Simplicity has a lot going for it.

Not many riders on here.  Of course, in 55 years riding I've only known one other Guzzi rider but it seems there is a new interest in the brand.  I have a new V7III bronze on order and just waiting for the snow to go away before I travel the 200 miles to the dealer to pick it up.  I'm trading a 2017 Royal Enfield C5 for the V7 and I also have a 2018 Yamaha XSR700.   This is my 35th bike and probably my last new one as I turn 70 in a month and a half. :)
Moto Guzzi News / Stolen 2014 V7 in California with under 3,000 miles
« Last post by unpolire on January 27, 2020, 01:45:53 PM »

Red tank and with a rear fender eliminator.  Stolen from locked storage in Apple Valley, California in the past 14 days.  Police say that pawn shops and dealers don't have to report new purchases to police or check if they are stolen and that I will have to buy back my stolen Moto Guzzi if found.  Have photos, but this is my first post and don't know how.  Just needed to get the VIN out to those who know V7s in case someone comes across one with such low mileage.  Thank you.
Norge 1200 / Re: Help Me Make My Decision.

Hi, I have a 2009 Norge and i love it.  It is not currently behaving as it should but i should have it operating perfectly soon.  The bike is so much fun to ride, handles like a dream, lots of power, warm in winter and full of excellent features.  I also have  big Harley Ultra which is more suited to long distance touring but this Norge could do it too only one up.  I ride two up on my HD when my wife goes along.
Guzzi's are quirky and a little different than other machines. You will really enjoy having it to ride.
