I drove 3 hours each way (about 160 miles or so,) to Cadre Moto Guzzi in Cincinnati to buy my V-85TT Travel. And it was worth it!  Best dealership experience ever! It was more like talking to another motorcycle enthusiast who could get you what you wanted and then did!.   They delivered today and I am already in love!
Had my 2020 V 7 111 Racer Tenth Anniversary shipped from  Extreme Powersports in Accident Maryland. I live in Bartlett TN Roughly 850 miles .Now onto the cool part .I have the prototype bike for. the Racer .It's got a good many miles as it went to the International shows. Preproduction bike number 0 of only 125 produced .So the Bike has in essence thousands of miles
so the bike went many miles to find me .

Hard to tell without seeing the bike .Sounds to me that you need to rejet the carburetor .Sounds like the pilot jet sometimes called the low speed is to big .that would blacken the plugs at idle .Does it run good at faster speed when your on the main jet.If it's still to fat you probably need to change the main jet .Hard to fix one on an e-mail .It can be frustrating .When rejetting you may have to do multiple jet changing unless there is someone that has done the swap .What was wrong with the original carbs ?I prefer to use OEM as much as possible . I can do a better job for my customers and easier for me .Rejetting one can require a lot of time to get them right a hit or miss process.

Hi to everyone.
I own a 1980 Moto Guzzi V50 II. I recently fully restored and replaced old carburetors with new Dellorto PHBH 26. Unfortunately on low rpm the spark plugs get totally black and the bike does not work. On high rpm the spark plugs are little better. Any ideas.

ok made the ride home today with about 125 miles under belt, very happy with ride. Some heat was building on my knee, just about 92 deg today. Haven't owned a air cooled bike in years, at 70 mph it was calm and relaxing. Got the cruise control working after learning the steps,

first off I am 60 have owned plenty of bikes thru the years, but I first learned to ride on a MG that my father had in 1974. I remember he took great pride in the attention he got when took rides thru the hills from SF Cal. when stopped people always asked about different question.
I dont remember seeing one again until about 2010 when I was shopping for a new motorhome and the show room had one parked inside... WOW I was shocked, having owned Kawasaki, Honda, Harley, BMW and now riding two Can Am Spyders, with a old 2008 Vulcan 900 still giving me joy on two wheels.
Wife and I  was traveling ( two spyders with one towing a trailer) across country with my brother (bmw 1600 gt) and his wife.  While in Rapid City we ran into a a small group of MG riders in 2019.
I was in the need for something different to ride and while looking at different models of all brands bikes ONE had me hooked. BMW R19, test drive and wow that was BIG. fun but Big,. He had a used MG Eldo in lot and rode that as well. well damn I thought my father will be looking down or (up) upon me.
Well tomorrow I will make another 120 mile drive to pick up a new to us 2014 MG Cal if all goes well.
