V7 / Re: Your experience on the new V7 Classic

I agree, the litre or over litre bikes are becoming more powerful, faster, and more complicated than a motorcycle needs to be.  Simplicity has a lot going for it.
V7 / Re: Roll call....where are you and what V7 do you have?

Not many riders on here.  Of course, in 55 years riding I've only known one other Guzzi rider but it seems there is a new interest in the brand.  I have a new V7III bronze on order and just waiting for the snow to go away before I travel the 200 miles to the dealer to pick it up.  I'm trading a 2017 Royal Enfield C5 for the V7 and I also have a 2018 Yamaha XSR700.   This is my 35th bike and probably my last new one as I turn 70 in a month and a half. :)
Moto Guzzi News / Stolen 2014 V7 in California with under 3,000 miles
« Last post by unpolire on January 27, 2020, 01:45:53 PM »

Red tank and with a rear fender eliminator.  Stolen from locked storage in Apple Valley, California in the past 14 days.  Police say that pawn shops and dealers don't have to report new purchases to police or check if they are stolen and that I will have to buy back my stolen Moto Guzzi if found.  Have photos, but this is my first post and don't know how.  Just needed to get the VIN out to those who know V7s in case someone comes across one with such low mileage.  Thank you.
Norge 1200 / Re: Help Me Make My Decision.

Hi, I have a 2009 Norge and i love it.  It is not currently behaving as it should but i should have it operating perfectly soon.  The bike is so much fun to ride, handles like a dream, lots of power, warm in winter and full of excellent features.  I also have  big Harley Ultra which is more suited to long distance touring but this Norge could do it too only one up.  I ride two up on my HD when my wife goes along.
Guzzi's are quirky and a little different than other machines. You will really enjoy having it to ride.

I all, I am new to the forum and new to Moto Guzzi's. I have recently purchased a V7Racer and was wondering if any one has fit bobbins to the rear end to take a paddock stand ?

General Discussion / Newbie buying question
« Last post by Kane on July 14, 2019, 10:35:33 PM »
Hello, I am new the forum. My first bike many moons ago was a ‘76 850 T. Unfortunately it is long gone, followed by some Triumphs, Yamaha, and HD. But I always felt akin to Guzzi and I have a soft spot in my heart for Moto Guzzi. I now have the opportunity to acquire another Guzzi from an acquaintance who sort of inherited it, though he is not a rider and the bike was sitting unridden for a while before he took it to a local mechanic to get it running. I have a concern that I think may be a potential red flag before I go to check it out:
The bike in question is a 2001 V11 Sport, 16K miles, he is asking $2900. He had new brakes, a front tire, and air filter installed. And also all new seals. This is what I am concerned about. Should a 2001 Guzzi V11 with 16k miles need new seals? I think that 16k may be too early for a bike to need a new set of seals, and I am wondering if this is a bad sign or indicative of something to be concerned about. The shop that worked on it was not a Guzzi shop, just a general motorcycle repair shop. Also, the bike probably sat unridden for a good while.
Are there any issues besides my concern about the seals that I should know about regarding this year/model? Anything a potential buyer should check for?
I appreciate any advice you can offer. As much I have loved Guzzis after my old 850T, it’s been a while since I have dealt with one. I will say that my old 850T bike was completely reliable and bomb-proof for me.

Thank you!
